Company Profile
Central Moloney, Inc., is a leading manufacturer of
single-phase transformers and electrical distribution components with
headquarters in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Central Moloney, Inc., as the name
implies, is a company rich in tradition that grew from the merger of
Central Transformer Corporation and Moloney Electric in 1965. Colt
Industries acquired the Central Transformer Corporation in 1968 and later
the name was changed to Coltec Industries.
In 1994, senior management of Central Moloney
Transformer acquired the company from Coltec Industries. The year 1996 was
an especially important year for the company as the firm was converted to
an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) corporation, thereby giving
partial ownership to all salaried employees. Local employee management
combined with ESOP ownership has created a work environment second to
none. Central Moloney employees are committed to success through superior
customer service.
For over 30 years, Central Moloney Components has
led the industry with innovative products to improve the quality and
reliability of electrical distribution apparatus. A range of
manufacturing techniques, including casting, transfer molding, pressure
regulation, and thermoplastic injection molding allows extreme versatility
in meeting your needs. Some of the products offered include primary
and secondary bushings, primary switches, dual voltage switches, wildlife
guards, tap changers, current limiting fuse holders, drip shields and
breathers to name a few.
In the early part of 2001, Central Moloney announced
the addition of three-phase pad mounted transformers to the current
single-phase product lines of poles, pad mounts and submersible
distribution transformers. A number of three-phase, pad mounted
transformers have been built and is expected to grow significantly in the
next few years.
Central Moloney was the first single-phase
transformer manufacturer to attain the ISO 9002 certification for all
product lines in May 1996. Our Components Operation received ISO 9002
certification on the first audit in July 1997.
ISO certification at Central Moloney provides the
basis for control and continuous improvement. Central Moloney believes
that making quality products requires the full understanding and
commitment of each employee. Employees are made aware of the company
objectives and quality policy by training, quality assurance procedures
and quality audits.
